Hannah's Treasure Chest: Change Challenge All six elementary schools in Centerville are participating in a "Change Challenge" to raise money for Hannah's Treasure Chest. It's taking place now through November 2. Each home room has a giant baby bottle to collect loose change. The Alpha Clubs or Student council organizations will manage the fund drive, but Angela Addington (angaddington@sbcglobal.net) from Hannah's Treasure Chest will pick up the money each Friday and keep track of which home room is the most successful. A school trophy will be awarded to the elementary school that raises the most money. The winning home room in each building will get a pizza party. This idea is being coordinated by Jackie Harvey from Normandy School.
The mission statement for Hannah's Treasure Chest has three parts.
1. To collect new and gently used clothing, furniture and toys for infants and children between the ages of 0 and 12 years old.
2. To distribute clothing, furniture and toys to families and children in need via partner agencies.
3. To provide volunteer opportunities to churches, civic organizations and individuals in the community.
